Another world is possible

The crisis today

The far right has ridden to power atop the deep alienation felt by tens of millions of ordinary people, drowning in a half-century of neoliberalism: destroyed social supports, privatized public spaces, the exaltation of corporate profits over the planet, the abandonment and aggressive policing of working-class communities, and the violent repression of social movements.

How do we fight back?

We must organize unions in our workplaces and movements in our communities to demand and win a just society. And in fighting for immediate material needs, we must be clear that our aim is not just lessening the depredations of 21st Century capitalism; it is the creation of a new order based not on private profit, but on meeting the needs of people and the planet — a socialist society.

  • “... a testament to the organized power of the working-class when armed with a sophisticated analysis of the balance of forces, the possibilities and limits of strategic alliances, a clear-eyed assessment of the political terrain, and above all, what Rosenblum calls a Marxist theory of insurgent politics.”

    Robin D.G. Kelley
Distinguished Professor and Gary B. Nash Endowed Chair in U.S. History, UCLA

  • “Here is the book that the political establishment doesn’t want you to read. In brilliant detail, We’re Coming for You and Your Rotten System shows how, with a fighting, socialist approach, we overcame fierce resistance from big business and its two parties to achieve transformative working-class victories.”

    Kshama Sawant

  • “In a system where liberal to far-right forces constantly block the working class’s efforts to bring about change, socialists must find ways to build power in neighborhoods and workplaces that can also strengthen class struggles within parliament. Rosenblum’s book offers important insights for this.”

    Nam Duy Nguyen
Die Linke (The Left political party), member of Saxon State Parliament, Germany
